Prior to arriving in Guernsey in 2019, Jess Aughton had worked in a number of horticultural settings including the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, the National Trust, Commercial Forestry, private estates and as an assessor in horticulture at Reaseheath College in Cheshire. Her first 4 yrs in Guernsey were spent as Assistant Manager at Grow during which she oversaw the move from the Coutanchez site to temporary premises belonging to Guernsey Clematis. She then moved to the College of Further Education and spent two years working with young people with social and emotional needs. She then moved to her current post as Head gardener for a large local private estate.
